To qualify to vote in the next election, you must apply to register to vote 30 days before the election. If you mail your application form, it must be postmarked by that date. You may also present it to a voter registration agency representative, or your county clerk, by that date.

  1. Go to the Carroll County Voter Registration page and read the eligibility requirements.
  2. Look up the Voting Instruction Manual.
  3. Fill out the PDF Application Form ( English or Spanish ).
  4. Print it out.
  5. Mail it at the post office or turn it in to the County Clerk.
  6. Allow a few weeks for processing: You are completely registered when the County Clerk’s Office notifies you.

Research Your Choices.

There are many ways to investigate your choices online before voting. These are just a few:

VOTE. VOTE. VOTE.

There are many ways to vote, and each one is important. No matter how you choose to vote, make sure your voice is heard!

  • VOTE in person on Election Day.

Polls are open from 7:30am to 7:30pm on Election Day. You can find your polling place on the VoterView website or the County Clerk website.

  • VOTE early in person.

Early voting is available for 15 days before Election Day. You can find a list of early voting locations and their hours on the VoterView website or the County Clerk website.

  • VOTE by absentee ballot.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot (by mail) is 7 days before Election Day. Further ways to request a ballot and the request ballot application form can be found at the County Clerk website.

You can request an absentee ballot if:

    • You will be unavoidably absent from your polling site on election day (the law does not require you to give a reason)
    • You will be unable to attend your polling site on election day due to illness or physical disability
    • You are a member of the U.S. armed forces, merchant marines or the spouse or a dependant family member.
    • You are a U.S. citizen domiciled in Arkansas but temporarily living outside the territorial limits of the United States.
