A big thank you to volunteers!
Two events last weekend were smashing successes thanks to the help of our Democratic Party of Carroll County volunteers. The chili cook-off team of Margy Thompson, Edwidge Denyszyn and Laurie Smole pulled together to produce a big pot of delicious chili dubbed "Your Choice Chili." Jim Wallace provided the tent and grill to keep the chili hot and Jim stayed for the day, along with Margy and Markeeta Tucker and Jean Reed filled in for the afternoon. Fun day!
On Sunday, we staffed the Cornerstone Bank parking lot, charging $5 per vehicle to raise funds to carry on the DPCC agenda, platform and candidate support Big thanks to Cornerstone Bank for providing us with the opportunity and to the Cat House and NYX for being so neighborly. Parking lot hostess Tricia Evans made sure the event ran smoothly and all the volunteers were looked after. Volunteers included Carl Botz, Linda Caldwell, Janet Corley, David Geneson, Cheryl Hoyt, Carole Kelemen, David and Kate McCarty and Mike and Vickie Welch.
