Happy New Year, Democrats!
We have accomplished a lot in 2021, but "we have miles to go before we sleep".
Do not give up hope or stop your energy. This is the year we need you more than ever. Our democracy depends on our hard work and fervor to keep it out of the hands of the fringe right.
With that being said, I am so proud of all of you for stepping up and gathering signatures for the gerrymandering petition. I was proud to mail a large packet to Little Rock. We will be having our meeting later this month - trying to watch numbers before making the decision to meet in person or virtually.
The important thing is that there will be election of officers and we need all of you to consider where you will plug in. Do you have a desire to lead? We need nominations for chair and vice chair, and remember, they must be alternating sex. For example: if chair is female, then vice must be male. Please consider serving!! We need new energy and fresh ideas.
Watch your email for the upcoming meeting date. And stay engaged! We will not make changes by sitting on the sideline.
